Mazzetti's Bakery is a family owned and operated bakery 15 minutes south of San Francisco serving the greater Bay Area for over 50 years. We arelooking for individuals to join our team. This is a great position for an individual who likes to work with a small team and is looking to develop an understanding of the inner workings of a bakery or refine their pastry and decorating skills.

Primary Duties

· Responsible for decorating cupcakes, and round and sheet cakes with standard decorations including, buttercream flowers and writing, edible photos and holiday décor.

· Willingness to learn or ability to frost and decorate cakes

· Helping to create specialty items such as cake slices, and seasonal themed items

· Designing and decorating specialty stacked and tiered wedding and specialty cakes

· Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.

· Review special orders and prepare as needed.

· Cleans work area.

· Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress.

· Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.

· Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

· Reports to work when scheduled and on time.

· Part time or full time available.

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to physically move up to 20 pounds frequently

· Must be able to perform the following physical activities, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions.

Skills

· Experience with buttercream decorating is preferred, but a willingness to learn is required. Previous fondant and wedding cake experience is a plus.

· Excellent customer service skills, good attitude and the ability to work with others

· Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

· Respect for self and others

· Reliable, punctual and committed to customer service

· Required to be on time, responsible and maintain a neat appearance

Looking for either a part-time or full-time position. Shifts include early mornings, weekends and holidays. Starting rate is between $17 and $20 depending on experience
