Delivery Specialist O'Reilly Auto Parts

Compensation Pay Range: $17.32 - $24.50 per hour. Actual hourly rate will equal or exceed local minimum wage. Additional compensation includes annual and quarterly performance bonuses, premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.

The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers safely and efficiently. This position also collects money on C.O.D. deliveries and picks up customer returns. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Essential Job Functions

  • Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
  • Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries: capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections.
  • Keep vehicles clean and maintained, completing daily inspections before operating.
  • Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected at all times.
  • Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips.
  • Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management.
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to the store manager immediately.
  • Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at end of days business.
  • Clock in/out according to company policy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned: customer service, sweeping, general stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, etc.
  • Occasionally assist customers, serve as cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities

Required:

  • Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
  • Driving record must meet the company's 14/18-point record system.
  • Must possess a legally required state drivers license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with automotive parts.
  • Ability to operate other light store equipment.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
