Our mission is simple: place the best people in the right roles to drive long-term success for both clients and candidates.

Role: Front-End Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid - In-person 4+ days per week)
Company Stage of Funding: Series A
Office Type: Hybrid
Salary: $160,000 - $250,000 base + competitive equity
Company Description

Our client is a fast-growing AI and automation company backed by top-tier venture investors. They're building an intelligent platform that automates complex communication workflows across industries like logistics, supply chain, and operations - empowering businesses to move faster and communicate smarter.

The company recently raised a strong Series A round and is scaling rapidly toward Series B. With a small, high-caliber engineering team, this is a rare opportunity to join at a pivotal moment of growth and have a direct impact on product direction, technical architecture, and user experience.
What You Will Do

  • Own major portions of the front-end experience - designing, building, and shipping high-impact features in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build intuitive, performant, and elegant interfaces using modern frameworks like React and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate closely with product designers, backend engineers, and leadership to deliver a seamless and scalable user experience.
  • Develop new product surfaces and internal tools that enable customers to interact with complex AI-driven systems.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions, improve developer workflows, and mentor peers in front-end best practices.
  • Help shape the company's engineering culture as one of the early frontend leaders.
Ideal Candidate Background
  • 3-10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 80% of your experience in front-end development.
  • Strong technical foundation and deep experience with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript tooling.
  • Background working at high-growth startups or large-scale consumer platforms known for design excellence or complex UI challenges (e.g., Notion, Slack, Airbnb, Uber, Lyft, Meta, Dropbox, etc.).
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality features independently, while thriving in highly collaborative, fast-moving teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical challenges into simple concepts.
  • "Founder mindset" - ownership, speed, creativity, and a bias for action.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building and optimizing front-end systems that serve high-traffic user bases.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments where product and engineering decisions are made quickly.
  • Interest in AI-driven products and a curiosity for how large language models and automation can transform workflows.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Compensation, Benefits, and Other Details
  • Salary: $160,000 - $250,000 base (depending on experience)
  • Equity: Competitive, early-stage equity package
  • Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, flexible PTO, and team offsites
  • Work Setup: Hybrid (4+ days per week onsite in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood)
  • Hiring Timeline: Immediate start; 1-3 hires planned

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-velocity AI startup early - where you'll have the freedom to move fast, own your work, and see your code directly impact real-world users every week. If you love shipping beautiful products, collaborating with world-class teammates, and pushing boundaries in AI and automation - we'd love to hear from you.
