Base Annual Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 (depending on experience)

Title: Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Senior Manager, Maintenance

Primary Function: Repairs and Maintenance

Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Location: Parkmerced, San Francisco, CA

Summary

Brick and Timber (the "Company") is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform apartment building Repair and Maintenance (R&M) projects at our Pakrmerced location. The person that holds this position will need to demonstrate exemplary customer service skills, maintain impeccably clean work areas, and effectively communicate with all residents and team members internally and externally.

Primary Responsibilities

• Excluded responsibilities include plumbing, painting, and landscaping related work which will be completed by separate corresponding union workers, for Parkmerced specifically
• Typical independent assignments include, but are not limited to:
  1. Troubleshoots, repairs - electrical timers, replacing, and installing new electrical fixtures, switches, breakers, receptacles and electrical wall heaters; preparing and finishing all interior and exterior surfaces
  2. Moving, installing, repairing, and replacing household appliances, installing, repairing, and replacing drywall, countertops installation, and cabinetry repairs; repairs and new installation of flooring LVP, Tile, wood
  3. Doors/keys/locks, fire/smoke protectors, general/clean labor including graffiti remediation, unit hardware, laundry, mailboxes, other

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in multifamily property repairs and maintenance

Key Skills and Competencies

• Proficient understanding and experience in all maintenance trades. Demonstrates appropriate use of standard hand and power tools
• Proficient technology and computer skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Must be a good communicator (written and oral) and must be able to maintain effective documentation
• Capability to think critically, solve problems logically and make well-reasoned business decisions
• Proactive, well-organized, and results-oriented with the ability to lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Solid organizational skills including attention to details and multitasking capability
• Exercise significant independent judgement, initiative, responsibility, and accountability
