The Integrated Care Center Clinic is a federally qualified health centersthat provideprimary care, behavioral health, addiction treatment, psychiatry, dental care, and more. We provide care to those most in need including those who are suffering from homelessness, mental illness, substance use, mental illness, and chronic medical conditions. We provide team basedcare in an integrated care setting. We are looking for a mission driven,service leader who works well in a team, has experience with managing and supporting staff, champions quality improvement, leads change, and is excited to innovate.

JOB SUMMARY
HealthRIGHT 360, a nonprofit organization and a family of programs, is committed to providing accessible
and comprehensive healthcare services to vulnerable populations. Our mission is to tackle systemic
barriers to healthcare and promote health equity for all. We offer a wide range of services, including
mental health care, residential and outpatient substance use treatment, and primary health services.
Additionally, we provide transitional support for individuals re-entering the community after involvement
in the criminal justice system. By integrating physical and behavioral health, we empower individuals to
overcome challenges by addressing social determinants of health, fostering resilience, and facilitating
recovery.

The HealthRIGHT 360 dental clinic provides compassionate, nonjudgmental comprehensive oral
healthcare. Our supportive staff, experienced with the complex healthcare needs resulting from
homelessness and poverty, is dedicated to serving the community.

The On-Call Dental Assistant I is responsible for scheduling dental appointments, determining eligibility,
and under the general supervision of a Dentist in a clinical setting, assisting the dentist in providing dental
treatment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the provision of high-quality care within the scope of service consistent with accepted
standards of care for dental assistants.
• Prepare each operatory and patient for treatment.
• Take and prepare radiographs using digital technology.
• Provide active chair-side assistance to the Dentist and anticipate the provider's needs.
• At the conclusion of patient care, assists the patient, clears the work site and prepares for the
next patient. Monitors the flow of laboratory cases.
• Monitor and record sterilization cycles and follow proper infection control protocols for the
practice.
• Help to manage patient flow in clinic.
• Schedule dental appointments both in-person and over the telephone.
• Retrieve messages from voicemail and fax/message inbox and forward to appropriate personnel
via telephone encounter if applicable.
• Verify patient eligibility and receive patient payments such as co-pays, outstanding balances,
guarantor payments and assign them to the correct patient accounts.
• Manage incoming and outgoing patient documentation such as consents, signing treatment plans,
patient referrals, ROI's, medical clearances, lab and supply invoices and scanning as needed.
• Assist Patient access coordinators as time allows.
And perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Certification, and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent.
- Dental Assistant I: Radiation Safety Certificate + Infection Control Certificate.
- Dental Assistant II: Some DA experience + Radiation Safety Certificate + Infection Control
Certificate + 1 additional certificate.
- Dental Assistant III: Some DA experience, Radiation Safety certificate, Infection Control
certificate, Coronal Polish certificate, Pit & Fissure Sealant certificate.
• First Aid and CPR Certified within 30 days of hire.
• On-the-job training or Certification in Dental Assisting.
• Prior experience in front desk reception, administrative and/or customer service.
Desired:
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 3 years' experience working in a medical front office setting, preferably in a community clinic with
medical experience.
• Supervisory/management experience.
• MISYS and One-E-App experience (CAA certified).
Knowledge
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software
and EMR software (e Clinical Works training provided).
• Working knowledge of computerized medical scheduling and billing systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Commitment to working with diverse communities, including communities of color,
homelessness, and users of illegal substances, HIV/AIDS patients and people with mental health
concerns.
Desired:
• Familiarity with other community agencies in the Bay area to make appropriate referrals.
• Understanding of harm reduction philosophy and ability to provide non-judgmental, client centered services.
