Building & Grounds Worker

Our client, a dedicated organization focused on maintaining community spaces, is seeking a Building & Grounds Worker to join their team. As a Building & Grounds Worker, you will be part of a supportive team responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of various facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Oakland, CA

Pay Range: $22 per hour

Shift: Monday to Friday

What's the Job?

• Cleans and maintains the Authority's grounds, resident units, and office buildings.
• Prunes and trims trees and shrubs, mows lawns, and cuts grass.
• Operates power lawnmowers and hand tools for landscaping tasks.
• Cleans and maintains office areas, community spaces, and vacant units.
• Drives trucks to pick up furniture or debris and maintains simple job records.

What's Needed?

• One year of demonstrated successful work experience.
• Possession of a valid California driver's license and an insurable driving record.
• Bilingual skills in ASL, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and/or Spanish are a plus.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn and perform a variety of maintenance tasks.
