Job Description

As a Security Officer - Utility Facility Unarmed Patrol in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol utility locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with individuals onsite, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for irregularities.
• Monitor and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site protocols.
• Communicate and coordinate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as necessary during incidents or emergencies.
• Document observations and incidents thoroughly in daily activity reports and/or incident reports as required by site procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to employees and visitors at the utilities location.

Minimum Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
