Part-Time Office Administrative Assistant

Location: Berkeley, CA

Pay Rate: $23/hr.

Work Days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Summary of Duties:

Office Administration: Manage communications (calls, emails), maintain logs, update contact lists and websites (under CEO's instruction), create brochures/flyers, handle mailing, manage petty cash, and submit daily reports.

Financial & Accounting: Process deposits and disbursements, maintain accurate accounting records (journals, files), prepare thank-you letters for donations, track the red envelope fund, and ensure financial compliance.

Souvenir Shop Management: Process customer orders and credit card payments, handle packaging and shipping, manage inventory replenishment, assemble ritual objects, and maintain shop organization.

Temple Upkeep: Perform daily shrine duties (incense, water offerings), maintain cleanliness of the altars and entire shrine, and ensure proper storage and labeling of all souvenir items.

Facility & Maintenance: Manage garbage collection, perform regular cleaning (vacuuming, sweeping), maintain the front yard, replace light bulbs/flags/bows as needed, oversee contractor work, and ensure property security.

Event Coordination: Prepare classrooms and guest rooms, procure supplies, prepare event materials (handouts, nametags), and assist students staying at the Culture Center.

General & Attendance: Report directly to the CEO, remain flexible for additional assigned tasks, and adhere to the work schedule (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM) with punctuality.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $22.00 - $23.00
