Immediate Hiring for Dimensional Engineer in Foster City, CA

Overview

Seeking an experienced Dimensional Engineer to own dimensional requirements from design through production launch, ensuring robust GD&T, tolerance analysis, and dimensional quality across vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Own dimensional requirements from concept through SOP
• Develop and maintain 3D tolerance/DVA models (3DCS)
• Define and validate GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
• Partner with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Suppliers
• Review CAD, drawings, and engineering changes
• Analyze build data (CMM/scan) and lead root cause & corrective actions
• Support fixture, locator, and assembly strategy development

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related
• 7–8 years dimensional engineering or tolerance analysis experience
• Strong GD&T knowledge and hands-on 3D tolerance analysis (3DCS)
• Experience supporting programs from design through production launch
• Understanding of manufacturing variation (stampings, castings, plastics, extrusions)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

• Automotive OEM or Tier-1 experience
• Compliant/flexible part modeling
• Experience with BIW, closures, interior, or exterior systems
