Job Summary

The Admin Officer will apply organization policies and procedures to oversee a variety of ongoing administrative operational issues. Administers defined operational programs. Analyzes and resolves operational problems of moderate scope. Works on administrative tasks to help streamline operations, including managing schedules, tracking lab finances, tracking collaboration progress, and working on procurements.

Department Description

The Department of Pediatrics is one of the largest and most complex departments in the School of Medicine. It comprises 19 divisions employing over 400 faculty, 83 fellows, 84 residents, 31 Post Docs and non-faculty academics and 170 staff. Annual clinical income exceeds $90 million and extramural funding over $40 million. The department is based at the 183‑bed UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco, the 191‑bed UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, Mount Zion, Zuckerberg San Francisco General, and various outreach clinics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience or training
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience

Benefits and Compensation

Salary range: $29.05–$53.50 per hour. Final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the collective bargaining agreement.
