Sr Credit Strategy Analyst

Description:

Join to apply for the Sr Credit Strategy Analyst role at LendingClub. This position is part of LendingClub's credit risk management team, responsible for crafting and tracking risk strategies that balance yield for investors with reasonable loss rates.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, implement, and manage credit risk strategies, including underwriting, pricing, loan amount assignment, and verification based on probability of default.
  • Design and run A/B tests to understand risk‑return trade‑offs using hypothesis‑testing frameworks.
  • Create automated dashboards to monitor funnel conversion and strategy/portfolio performance, and present findings to senior management.
  • Mine loan performance data to uncover underperformance pockets, conduct root‑cause analysis, and recommend risk‑mitigation strategies.
  • Measure credit expansion opportunities to optimize risk‑adjusted revenue.
  • Expand the data set used in credit decisioning by evaluating non‑traditional data sources and re‑engineering existing data elements.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure accurate implementation of new strategies.

About You

  • 2-3 years of experience in credit, analytics, risk management, or data science.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Math, Engineering, Economics) or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL/SAS, R/Python.
  • Hands‑on experience with BI/data visualization tools such as Tableau or Excel for dashboard creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Work Location

San Francisco. We use a hybrid work model with in‑office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; remote placement will not be considered.

Time Zone Requirements

Primarily PT, with flexibility to collaborate across time zones when necessary.

Travel Requirements

Monthly/quarterly/as needed travel to LendingClub offices and/or other locations.

Compensation

The target base salary range is $109,000–$125,000. Compensation is based on job‑related knowledge, experience, education, skills, and location. The total rewards package may include equity awards and an annual bonus tied to company and employee performance.
