Job Title : Maintenance Generalist

Pay Rate : $28.00 - $39.00 / hr. On w2 with benefits

Job Description:

This position is responsible for maintenance of facility and repair of manufacturing equipment while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering and procedures.

Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, and available for overtime.
• Applicants will be considered for a General Mechanic opening in Maintenance Department for executing maintenance and repair work associated with CMMS work orders including repairing line equipment (mixers, grinders, clipper stuffers, slicers, labelers, multivacs, etc)
• Pre-check and setup of equipment; cutting, welding electrical work and other duties as assigned.
• Be willing and able to tolerate temperatures of 35 degrees or below for entire shift.
• Be able to lift 40-60 pounds to shoulder height repeatedly.
• Be able to walk and stand on cement floor for the shift duration.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Must have basic math skills and computer knowledge.
• Ability to read and comprehend product specifications sheets, assess equipment, and demonstrate mechanical knowledge Working knowledge of USDA regulations, plant sanitation standards and procedures preferred.
• Weekly, monthly, semi-Annual inspection throughout the facility including but not limited to: Fire Extinguishers, Fire Sprinkler system, Eye wash / shower Stations, Emergency Lighting, Alarm for access doors, Rail Inspections.
• Lighting Repairs throughout the Facility, Repair / replace copper pipes (soldering copper) Pipe Threading of a sizes and types of material. Repairs to Toilets, sinks, Water Heaters. Able to drive Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, other Aerial lifts / Boom lifts Telescoping Lifts, ect.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1.5 years of Mechanic experience, Industrial Maintenance training is a plus, or any combination of technical school, plus relevant experience. Experience with electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and plumbing is preferred.
