Job Title: Cleanroom Technician
Job Description
As a Cleanroom Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and sterilizing assemblies, tanks, and various equipment while supporting buffer formulation and the sterile bulking process. Your role will involve assisting in the manufacturing of licensed commercial sterile products in an aseptic environment using computer-operated equipment.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare process equipment including fillers, lyophilizers, water baths, and ancillary equipment.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment using appropriate CIP (Clean-In-Place) and SIP (Steam-In-Place) procedures.
  • Perform daily or routine process operations in sterile fill and finish of biotech and biological products.
  • Operate equipment for dispensing chemicals and formulating solutions.
  • Perform aseptic operations and monitor processes using computer control systems.
  • Take, analyze, and submit samples as required.
  • Complete routine check sheets and maintain clean and orderly production facilities.
  • Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment and process failures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP standards.
Essential Skills
  • Two years of college coursework in physical and/or biological sciences such as chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, physics, and physiology.
  • Experience in aseptic A/B gowning and processing techniques.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical decision-making skills.
  • Experience working in a cGMP environment.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems and ability to navigate HMIs (human-machine interfaces).
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Berkeley, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
