Job Description
As an Accounting Advisory Manager, you will be responsible for leading teams that consult with clients on complex accounting transactions. You will help clients address their transactional, regulatory, and strategic needs — all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. You'll build relationships with clients and your project teams, engage client stakeholders to identify, assess, and deliver substantiated advice, and collaborate across the CFO Advisory team to help clients achieve their vision.
Your Day-to-Day May Include:
- Leading multiple engagements and consulting on complex accounting transactions
- Consulting on technical accounting matters including adoption of new accounting standards, preparing technical accounting positions, and supporting transaction audit review
- Providing transaction accounting support for transactions including business combinations, carve‑outs and initial public offerings
- Preparing financial statements and SEC filings including 10‑Ks, 10‑Qs, 8‑Ks and pro‑forma financial views
- Assisting clients in getting ready for first‑time audits or providing audit readiness support
- Providing on‑call assistance
- Ensuring work is performed timely, with quality, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Identifying market trends to be a proactive problem solver and sought‑after adviser
- Training and supervising less experienced colleagues and providing consistent, regular feedback
- Working at a client site, in the office or remotely – teams are empowered to determine the best working location
- Representing the company at recruiting and professional networking events
- Building technical and professional skills through formal training
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related disciplines (Master's a plus)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial statement audits, accounting advisory services, or corporate accounting/finance with a focus on complex transactions
- Active CPA license required
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 and/or ASC 842, complex debt/equity/employee compensation, audit readiness, IPO process, organizational restructuring, post‑deal accounting, GAAP conversations, financial instruments
- Proficiency in US GAAP, SEC reporting rules, accounting transactions, M&A services
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities
- Team‑orientated, agile, and building strong relationships
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Travel up to 30% as needed
The base salary range for this position in New York and Boston, MA only is between $121,000 and $181,400.
The base salary range for this position in Chicago, IL only is between $112,000 and $168,000.
The base salary range for this position in San Francisco and San Jose only is between $128,800 and $193,200.
