Description:

Our client is an industry-leading law firm seeking a Legal Assistant to support the partners and associates in their Corporate/Transactional practices. The position is hybrid at their office in San Francisco, California. The role involves managing day-to-day administrative tasks and ensuring efficient operations in a fast-paced, collaborative, and professional environment.

Job Details

  1. Attending to all matters necessary to manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned Partner/s and Associate/s desk, including handling administrative functions such as answering, screening, and placing phone calls; opening and routing mail as directed; maintaining files, records, attorney calendars, and time records; preparing attorney expense reports and travel arrangements.
  2. Maintaining organized e-mail folders and keeping attorneys apprised of priorities.
  3. Assisting in promoting business development through entry of activities, maintenance of contacts, and assembling mailing lists in InterAction.
  4. Supporting client and matter opening processes.
  5. Handling all aspects of document preparation, processing, and completion, working directly with attorneys and clients.
  6. Working closely with the firm's Billing team to ensure up-to-date and accurate client billing.
  7. Assisting with attorney personal work when required.
  8. Seeking ways to be responsive to clients, demonstrating superior client service.
  9. Performing other support duties such as printing, scanning, duplicating, quality control, faxing, and hand-delivering packages.
  10. Demonstrating effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  11. Managing firm resources responsibly.
  12. Collaborating as part of the firm's Business Professionals team.
  13. Complying with firm policies and procedures.
  14. Performing other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree required.
  2. Corporate law experience required.
  3. At least three to five years of relevant work experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
  4. Experience with a corporate/transactional practice highly preferred.
  5. Some paralegal experience preferred.
  6. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  7. Experience with iManage or similar document management systems.
  8. Experience with time entry software and CRM systems (preferably InterAction).
  9. Experience managing calendars, meetings, and correspondence.
  10. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  11. Initiative, resourcefulness, good judgment, and a positive work attitude.

Salary

$95,000 – 110,000
