Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero is looking for a full‑time People and Culture Generalist who can assist with general employee and applicant inquiries, handles all incoming calls, provides employment verifications, processes a variety of reports, maintains all general employment files, and assists with a variety of employee events and initiatives in addition to other administrative duties.

Our MICHELIN two key hotel known for high‑touch personalization is located steps away from the TransAmerica Pyramid, Ferry Building, Chinatown and historic North Beach. Rising high above San Francisco at 345 California Center, our guestrooms are located on the top 11 floors of this 48‑story landmark providing breathtaking panoramas of the city and the bay.

The Opportunity:

People and Culture Generalist

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director with the direction of all aspects of benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment and retention of staff, communication to staff, career development of staff, wage & hour compliance, training, workers' compensation and legal matters related to hotel employees.
• Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and manage employee performance.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co‑workers and supervisors, and management throughout the entire operation.
• Provide intuitive service, with a warm and friendly smile.
• Ensure employees receive care and attention ensuring a bespoke employee experience that is unique and unforgettable.
• Ensure communications and follow‑up on any problems, employee and guest requests or special requirements.

Qualifications and skills:

• Applicants are required to have similar experience.
• Solid working computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly and positively establish rapport.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English (second language a plus).
• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the USA.
