Position

Temporary Security Officer for a residential complex in San Francisco's Mission District. This Rover position is part‑time, morning shifts (Thursday – Friday). Hours start on October 30, 2025 and end February 1, 2026.

Shift: Part‑Time, Morning (Thursday – Friday)
Hourly Rate: $25.00 per hour

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possess a current California Guard Card License.
  • A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required for applicable sites.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Proficient in basic computer and smartphone usage.
  • Ability to navigate CCTV systems.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to create accurate reports; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong listening skills, patience, and compassion, particularly when interacting with community members experiencing emotional or psychological challenges.
  • Ability to remain calm in crisis situations, think critically, de‑escalate conflicts, and communicate effectively.
  • Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in adherence to all laws, regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with both company and client policies and procedures while being open to performance improvement.
  • Possess a clear understanding of emergency response procedures and protocols.
  • At least one year of experience in security, mobile patrol, or event staff roles.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Climb stairs and navigate multi‑level buildings.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Withstand various weather conditions during outdoor patrols.
  • Handle and operate security equipment such as radios, keys, and locks.
  • Run or move quickly to respond to emergencies.
  • Maintain stamina to work long hours while remaining alert.
  • Kneel, crouch, and bend to check low‑level areas or assist in emergencies.
  • Strong vision and hearing to observe surroundings, monitor security systems, and detect alarms or sounds of distress.

  • Maintain grooming and uniform standards.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills when interacting with the public, clients, and team members.
