Who we are La Clinica de La Raza is a non profit community based health center established in 1971 to address health barriers and create better lives for the underserved We have proudly grown into over 35 sites across Alameda Contra Costa and Solano County To learn more about our history click here Our History La Clinica or visit our website at wwwlaclinicaorg Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Information Technology the IT Manager of Dental Technology manages and coordinates Information Technology IT dental systems support and related component activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates and supervises such work as conducted by several IT technical support staff The IT Manager of Dental Technology guides technical work related to the support maintenance and execution of dental technology information systems throughout the organization As a partner with the IT Manager and in conjunction with the IT Manager responsibilities of this role include planning assigning and directing work training employees maintaining systems addressing complaints and resolving problems tracking and documenting issues and daily regular reporting of all status Major Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to Supervisory Responsibilities In coordination and conjunction with the IT Manager assigns work establishes priorities and project schedules With respect to IT dental systems Directs IT dental projects assigns tasks and monitors and reports on progressMay supervise departmental staff as neededDutiesResponsibilities Responsible for the management coordination support maintenance and evaluation of Information Technology dental systemsWith respect to IT dental technology systems designs specifies configures installs and maintains hardware and software such as PCs dental system software and applications related printers servers dental devices cabling etcImplements policies and procedures related to IT dental hardware and software use maintenance support security backup and etcTakes after hours on call IT Helpdesk calls and documents informationCreates and maintains weeklymonthlyyearly reports on work performed through the IT Helpdesk Ticket SystemEstablishes and maintains for IT dental systems users user environment directories security and etcTrains users in IT dental systems software and equipment usageResponds to the needs and questions of IT dental system users and the operation of various software programs etcDevelops and communicates standards for use operations and security of IT dental systems data and relatedintegrated devicescomponents either hardware or softwareCommunicates broadly to report and resolve software hardware and technicaltechnology operations issuesConsults with IT Department and Dental Department leadership to develop system solutions consistent with required objectivesInstalls and tests IT dental systems software and software upgradesImplement IT dental systems backup and disaster recovery proceduresOther duties assigned by supervisor Minimum Job Requirements Knowledge Skills and Abilities Knowledge of operating principles methods and limitations of personal computer equipment software and computer networkingKnowledge of computer hardware and techniques of computer operation and maintenance and repair Ability to run diagnostic software and determine the most cost effective alternative solutionsProblem solving skills in the various aspects of dental information systemsKnowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and Server Operating Systems Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Windows PowerShell preferredMust be able to work flexible hours Some evenings nights and weekends are occasionally required May include taking after hours support callsAbility to work across cultures and demonstrate support of diversity equity and inclusionStrong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate flexibility and ability to accept changes gracefullyAbility to be kind empathetic considerate understanding highly communicative willing to work with others to solve problems unable to talk down to others consider everyone an equal be respectful and must be an all around great human being to work withAbility to demonstrate dependable transportation to fulfill job responsibilities Education and Experience Requires four year college or university program certificate;
