Pay Rate - $21.50 /hour, Full-Time: 40 hours/week, AM Shift: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM

Nestled in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on a nine-acre campus, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is a center of excellence in providing a continuum of care. This includes the Frank Residences, offering luxurious assisted living and memory care services; the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center, featuring long-term skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and an acute psychiatric unit specialized in mental healthcare for older adults over age 55; and the Jewish Home and Senior Living Foundation.

Grounded in the Jewish values of dignity, compassion, and community, the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living, fondly referred to in the past as "the Jewish Home," was founded in 1871. Today, 150 years later, it continues to build upon its legacy of enriching the lives of older adults.

What you'll do as a Universal EVS Worker - Housekeeping & Laundry

Overview: Universal EVS Worker performs repetitive, manual cleaning and custodial tasks across various areas, with the ability to move continuously during work hours.

  • Sweep and mop resident rooms, halls, stairways, elevators, and other areas assigned.
  • Clean and scour toilets, tubs, and showers in patient tub rooms and all public bathrooms, supplying paper and hand soap as necessary.
  • Clean lounge furniture, nursing stations, medicine and treatment rooms, tub and shower rooms, clinic area, and other ancillary and activity areas.
  • Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through cleaning of equipment and furnishings.
  • Help sort soiled linen, fold clean linens, and process resident laundry.
  • Must clean up human waste and other body fluids; responsible for disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials.

For you to be a successful Universal EVS Worker - Housekeeping & Laundry

  • Some knowledge of the materials, equipment, and methods commonly used in cleaning, disinfecting, and linen/laundry processing.
  • Some experience in the performance of custodial work.
  • Must be able to operate a vacuum, work in confined spaces around furniture and breakable objects, and have constant contact with residents.
  • Ability to read and write in English, follow simple instructions, and work in close quarters with others.
