Kforce has a client in San Francisco, CA that is seeking a Financial Systems Reconciliations Specialist. Summary: The Financial Systems Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data flowing between the budgeting system (Budgetforce) and the procurement platform (Coupa). This role involves the detailed investigation, resolution, and reporting of discrepancies (variances) between approved budgets, committed spend (purchase orders) and actual expenditures (invoices). The Specialist will work closely with the Salesforce Budgetforce team, Accounts Payable, and IT teams to maintain data synchronization and improve financial control processes. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliations between Budgetforce and Coupa data, focusing on discrepancies in budget consumption, expense classifications, and commitment tracking
  • Investigate the root cause of variances, which may include timing differences, incorrect GL coding, mapping errors, system integration failures, or manual input mistakes
  • Submit necessary Budgetforce support tickets to correct and clear identified variances in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for reconciliation procedures, variance resolution protocols, and system mapping logic
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the reconciliation process and improve the accuracy of data transfer between the two systems
  • Collaborate with Budgetforce Power users to identify areas for improvement
  • Generate and present regular reports on the status of reconciliations, and outstanding variances
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries regarding data discrepancies between Budgetforce and Coupa
  • Liaise with the Budgeting team to ensure that budgeted figures in Budgetforce accurately reflect commitments from Coupa

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 3 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial analysis, or financial systems support, with a strong focus on performing reconciliations
  • Proven experience working with and reconciling data between ERP, Budgeting/Forecasting, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems (direct experience with Coupa reports is a significant advantage)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, large data sets)
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, General Ledger (GL) accounting, and expense categorization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to explain complex variances to non-financial audiences
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
