Job Overview
Sartorius has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self‑motivated, entrepreneurially spirited professional to fuel the growth of our Bioprocess Solutions portfolio in the Bay Area (Remote position). The incumbent will be a trusted business partner to our customers in the biopharmaceutical arena.
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell the organization's products and services within an assigned geographic area to achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Assess and analyze customer needs, respond to inquiries, and suggest appropriate products and services.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to create higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from an account.
- Coordinate and participate in marketing activities in the assigned territory on an as‑needed basis.
- Frequently assess the potential of each customer and plan to realize it into business.
- Manage and build strong customer relationships for long‑term partnership.
- Manage and grow an existing sales base within the assigned account and develop new contacts and applications.
- Demonstrate a natural affinity to influence and sell to all levels of an organization.
- Support the Sales Manager/Director to achieve annual sales targets and fulfill corporate objectives within assigned accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in a science discipline or equivalent relevant experience demonstrating strong ability to work effectively as an Account Manager within the biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Post‑graduate qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific discipline is desired but not essential.
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably within a GMP or GLP environment.
- Sales experience and/or customer‑facing experience in the biotechnology industry.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently with the assigned territory.
- Proficiency with MS Office software, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Compensation
Base salary between $90,000.00 and $130,000.00 (depending on experience and qualifications) plus a sales incentive plan and a car allowance.
