About Rack-N-Cue Games Room

The Rack-N-Cue Games Room is a recreational space located at the basement level of the Cesar Chavez Student Center. We offer free billiards and video games to students, staff, and alumni. We have five Brunswick pool tables, three Nintendo switches, and two PlayStations 4 pros. Along with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, Pokken Tournament Dx, and more for the Nintendo Switch. For the PlayStations 4 pros, we have FIFA 2022, NBA 2k22, Injustice 2, and more. In addition, Rack-N-Cue Games will host video game and billiard tournaments, giving a chance for students to compete and grow together as a community.

Job Functions:

  • Assists Assistant Manager in promoting Games Room Tournaments and Events
  • Organizes and manages the Rack-N-Cue/Games Room which includes but is not limited to: lending out equipment, sorting, set up, breakdown and monitoring students respecting our rules and regulations
  • Check and update inventory of gaming equipment
  • Checks in students to use gaming equipment/rack-n-cue
  • Build a relationship with faculty and students to solicit their input and involvement for programming events
  • Promote event feedback forms from all student attendees that show up for our events.
  • Communicate with customers and vendors, handle customer complaints
  • Maintain and cleanup Rac-N-Cue/Game Room
  • Enforce Rac-N-Cue/Games Room policies

Qualifications:
  • Must be a currently enrolled SFSU student (min 6 units for undergraduates or min 4 units for graduates)
  • Must be punctual and responsible
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability and willingness to work without close supervision
  • Previous experience with cash register
  • Knowledge of pool (billiards) and other games is helpful
