Project Engineer–Electrical

Location: Anchorage, AK (JBER)
Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr
Salary: Based on experience. Discuss with manager during interview.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering services on several simultaneous federal projects ranging in value up to tens of millions.
- Experience with large Federal Building Design, Medical Building Design, or other complex projects (construction value of at least $100 million) is desired.
- Perform site observation and reporting on multiple assigned projects to government personnel.
- Provide technical and administrative support.
- Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Analyze design and construction issues with respect to contract requirements and deliver recommendations to government personnel regarding compliance.
- Review and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, reports, schedules, modifications, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders, and claims.
- Prepare daily detailed field surveillance reports covering all pertinent factors affecting cost and engineering considerations.
- Participate in pre‑construction conferences with government personnel.
- Apply knowledge and experience with Industrial/Laboratory building electrical systems (low voltage and high voltage), system controls, building automation, data centers, and other complex electrical‑engineering elements found in large and complex buildings and utility plants.
- Previous experience with US Army Corps of Engineers projects is viewed as a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering, construction, and contract administration experience.
- Experience on projects with government clients preferred.
- US Army Corps of Engineers or USACE project experience preferred.
- Experience with large “campus” type projects preferred.
- Experience using RMS 3.0 preferred.
