Our client is looking for a Director of Accounting / Assistant Controller to manage accounting operations, reporting, policy compliance, and team. This role will support process and system optimization as they continue to scale operations.

What You'll Do

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and deliver accurate financial statements
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
• Ensure technical accounting compliance including with equity, leases, and fixed assets
• Manage external audits and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and tax regulations
• Evaluate and implement accounting systems and process improvements to drive efficiency
• Partner with FP&A and business teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making
• Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA is required
• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and industry
• Experience managing GL & Payroll
• Experience scaling accounting operations within a fast‑growing company
• SaaS/Software industry experience is highly preferred
• Proven ability to manage teams and collaborate cross‑functionally
• Experience with a variety of systems (NetSuite preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
