Electrical Designer (Engineer Level 3)

We are hiring an Electrical Designer (Engineer Level 3) to support commercial, industrial and data center projects in the Roseville area. This role suits someone who can work independently on electrical design and modelling tasks, produce high quality construction documents and collaborate closely with engineering and VDC teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently design and model power and lighting systems for commercial, industrial and data center facilities.
• Complete assigned design tasks and coordinate portions of project scope.
• Assemble design drawings and coordinated documentation.
• Use engineering software tools to run calculations and prepare reports.
• Produce single line diagrams, layouts and supporting technical documents.
• Work with project managers, external design teams and internal departments.
• Support QA/QC processes through the design lifecycle.
• Provide mentoring to junior designers.
• Contribute to department workflows, CAD/VDC standards and quality processes.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• 4 to 6 years experience with an electrical design firm or design-build contractor.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD MEP and Revit.
• Experience with ETAP or SKM preferred.
• Strong understanding of power and lighting systems.
• Knowledge of state and national electrical codes.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
