Starting Pay: $24.23 – $25.23/hour

Overview

ConGlobal is hiring immediately for a key role in our global supply chain operations. This position offers paid training, competitive pay, excellent benefits, and long‑term advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate track switches to ensure proper alignment for railcar movement.
  • Inspect track conditions and switch points to identify any issues affecting safe operation.
  • Couple and uncouple air hoses between railcars as part of train assembly or disassembly.
  • Replace damaged or broken railcar connectors (approximately 75 lbs).
  • Communicate with train crews and yard personnel to ensure coordinated rail movements.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and potential hazards in a high‑traffic rail environment.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of rail experience desired.
  • Switching or conductor experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to always follow safety requirements and practices.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs both off and on railcars.
  • Must pass a pre‑employment background verification, physical and drug screening. The Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations; use of cannabis is strictly prohibited.
  • Open availability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in rail yard or switching operations.
  • Familiarity with rail safety protocols and procedures.
  • Training in railcar or track maintenance is a plus.
