We need engineers to help define the way we build and test our products and features in a start‑up environment. You will be the quality advocate to enable delivery of high‑quality software in collaboration with top‑notch research scientists, software developers, and hardware engineers. Key Job Responsibilities

• Build and manage rapid prototypes and test equipment to support multiple areas of the program.
• Define and implement lab operations, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to qualify a wide variety of products and technologies being developed at Amazon Robotics.
• Apply networking, IT, mechanical, electrical, and software engineering skills to build and maintain labs and test floors.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance, or hands‑on engineering environment experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with project management of technical projects.
• Experience with network equipment installation and configuration.
• Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings, or experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with lab safety, security, and quality practices.
• Experience developing and testing mechanical robotics equipment.
• Experience in system‑level debugging.
• Experience using one or more of the following technologies (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, SketchUp, KeyShot) to deliver high‑quality models and designs.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
