Key Responsibilities

• Travel California with Tom to capture high‑quality video at events.
• Produce storyboards and scripts for approval prior to shooting.
• Shoot and edit video and photo content.
• Create motion graphics / VFX and mix sound.
• Archive and organize existing footage.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts, Broadcast Journalism or related field.
• 5+ years experience in a relevant role.
• Strong lighting and cinematography skills.
• Expert‑level skill with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects and Audition.
• Ability to create innovative videos that build upon established strategic content.
• Knowledge of social media video best practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, haul video equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently across California, sometimes on short notice.
• Knowledge and passion for current events and politics in California.

$95,000 - $115,000 a year
