Kaufman Dolowich, recognized by U.S. News as a “Best Company to Work For – Law Firms,” is seeking a Paralegal with 3+ years of litigation experience to join our San Francisco team.
Job Responsibilities
- Works with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions, and other case filings
- Utilizes existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases
- Drafts discovery demands and responses, including Requests for Production, Interrogatories, Notices for Discovery and Inspection and Requests for Admissions
- Prepares trial and arbitration hearing binders, as well as processes deposition transcripts
- Prepares first set of exhibits for motions, discovery responses, timelines, exhibits, etc.
- Reviews outgoing document production, including redacting and Bates stamping
- Creates Preservation of Evidence Letter and Document Request Letters
- Performs legal research
- Processes HIPAA authorizations and follows up with providers for medical records
- Reviews, summarizes, and analyzes medical records to assist with defense of action
- Other duties, as needed, to support the firm and office operations

Qualifications
- Litigation experience (minimum 3 years)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Industry recognized certification from organizations such as ABA, NALA, or AACP
- Experience in using legal database software (NetDocs and West Law preferred)
- Familiarity with legal terminology and principles
- Ability to analyze legal documents and perform legal research for accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Target Hiring Range: $60,000 – $95,000. Salary is an estimate; actual compensation will be determined based on market location and the candidate's experience, skills, and job‑related qualifications.
