About The Role

As a Senior Product Counsel on our Legal Team, you will be a key advisor from ideation to launch and beyond for company products. To drive success in this role, you will have experience supporting product launches for a regulated global company. Regular collaboration with our product, technology, marketing, and insurance teams will be key in ensuring that our product development goals are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Help us grow, globally scale, and continuously improve our product offerings
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and designers to identify and mitigate legal risks in product design, development, and go‑to‑market strategies
• Deliver clear, practical legal advice relating to regulatory, privacy, and consumer protection laws to our product, technology, insurance, and marketing teams across multiple jurisdictions
• Draft and review terms, disclaimers, and consumer policies (e.g., user terms, consent flows, data usage statements, in‑product messaging), complying with international insurance distribution regulations, privacy laws and related rights, including recent AI, privacy and security reforms and proposed regulations
• Establish effective relationships with business partners and peers to understand their business drivers and strategic priorities and to improve legal awareness and enable proactive issue spotting
• Develop internal frameworks and playbooks for product/legal reviews to enable scalable legal guidance for fast‑moving teams
• Monitor evolving legal and regulatory trends in insurtech, fintech, and digital platforms and translate them into actionable guidance for the product roadmap
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

What You Will Bring

• J.D. and a license to practice law in the State of California
• 6+ years of experience in‑house or at a law firm
• Experience with global privacy and data security laws and regulations
• Experience supporting product launches
• Familiarity with insurance regulatory frameworks is preferred

The cash compensation range for this role is $180,000–$220,000.
