Job Title: Assembly Technician - Swing Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused individual for a full-time Assembly Technician position within our Production team at the San Leandro, CA facility. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of product assembly and testing.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical assembly, hydro testing, and performance testing of products according to released assembly and test procedures.
Ensure products comply with all released product and component documentation.
Disassemble field-returned products for analysis, prepare product failure analysis reports, and perform repairs as directed.
Label and package products according to released procedures.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks and pallet racks as required.
Participate in general shop duties and cross-training in alternate shops.
Handle other projects and duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma, with Journeyman training in a mechanical trade considered a plus.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in non-electronic mechanical equipment assembly.
Demonstrated knowledge of product and material testing requirements and processes.
Proficiency in the use of common hand tools and equipment, as well as familiarity with general assembly procedures.
Forklift operation certification.
Proficiency in using basic gaging tools such as micrometers and calipers.
High mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
Capability to read and comprehend product Bill of Materials.
Ability to use machine and assembly drawings to accomplish tasks.
Excellent manual dexterity and computer literacy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Manual machining skills are a plus.
Must be a team player, professional, self-starter, and able to work under pressure.
Quality-focused, reliable, able to interpret directions, stay on task, self-motivated, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing/shop environment. Employees are expected to adhere to safety standards while operating machinery and equipment, and must be comfortable in a dynamic and active setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
