Accounting Specialist
San Francisco, CA (hybrid)
Are you someone with at least three years of accounting experience with a strong familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable? Do you desire to work with a stable organization with good work-life balance? We are looking for an accounting professional for a new job opportunity in San Francisco, CA. - Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable:
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices and reimbursement requests.
- Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers).
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure compliance with 1099 reporting.
- Accounts Receivable:
- Process customer invoices and daily cash receipts (check, ACH, credit card).
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Reconcile AR ledger and prepare aging reports.
- General Accounting:
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Qualifications- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in AP and AR functions, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
