Accounting Specialist

San Francisco, CA (hybrid)

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Accounts Payable:
      • Review, code, and process vendor invoices and reimbursement requests.
      • Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers).
      • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
      • Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure compliance with 1099 reporting.
    • Accounts Receivable:
      • Process customer invoices and daily cash receipts (check, ACH, credit card).
      • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
      • Reconcile AR ledger and prepare aging reports.
    • General Accounting:
      • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
      • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
      • Support audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

    Qualifications
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
    • 3+ years of experience in AP and AR functions, preferably in a high-volume environment.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
