THE WORK:

Ripple is seeking a collaborative and adaptable individual to join our dynamic tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys learning, improving, and building processes in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

The Senior Manager, US Tax Operations, will be involved in all aspects of Ripple's global operations to support US tax compliance, examinations, strategy, planning, and accounting/provision. You will advise on complex US tax issues, develop solutions to ensure compliance with tax laws, minimize risks, and optimize Ripple's US tax position. You should be a self-motivated professional capable of working independently and collaboratively, playing a key role in strategic decision-making. Your organizational skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment will be essential.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess and communicate US federal, state, and local tax impacts of global business operations.
  • Provide input on the tax implications of new initiatives, products, and strategic plans.
  • Advise on changes in US tax laws and their impact on the business.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within tax and finance to automate and streamline operations, ensuring scalability and quality.
  • Manage compliance and reporting for US federal, state, and local taxes, including calculations, forms, and statements.
  • Assist with tax examinations by gathering information and preparing responses.
  • Forecast cash taxes and effective tax rates for global operations under ASC 740.
  • Manage external service providers supporting these activities.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 7+ years of tax experience; fintech, financial services, or crypto experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.
  • Deep knowledge of US and multi-state tax laws, including international tax impacts like FDII, GILTI, Subpart F, FTCs, and BEAT.
  • Self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Strong analytical skills to investigate variances and resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication and technical research skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • A team player with a good sense of humor.
