Maintenance Technician
This role will begin on the day shift (9:00 AM 5:30 PM) to support initial ramp-up and training. Within the first six months, it will transition to a permanent second shift, operating from 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of production and R&D equipment. You will work cross-functionally with engineering teams to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software issues. Your role will include executing equipment qualifications, calibrations, and performance verification to ensure uptime, repeatability, and compliance with process requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production automation and manual equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Execute equipment qualifications, calibrations, and performance verification.
- Track maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs in detailed documentation.
- Develop and refine preventive maintenance procedures and equipment upgrade plans.
- Support installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of manufacturing tools.
- Identify and implement improvements in reliability, throughput, and safety.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Essential Skills
- 7+ years of high-tech production machine maintenance experience.
- Experience working on manual and automated systems.
- Hands-on expertise with mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong first-principles troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent documentation habits with clear, concise, and accurate recordkeeping.
- Safety-first mindset with knowledge of LOTO and high-voltage/gas safety practices.
- Physical capability to perform tasks during an 8-hour shift and handle heavy lifting.
- High School diploma required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- PLC programming understanding is a plus.
- A two-year technical degree is a bonus.
- Experience working with gloveboxes in controlled environments is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with PVD processes is a bonus.
- Familiarity with ECP or laser machining technologies is desirable.
- Advanced knowledge of CNC machining and control systems is advantageous.

This is a Contract position based out of Emeryville, CA. The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
