Action Property Management seeks a Building Engineer for our luxury high‑rise association, Lumina, located in San Francisco.
Compensation
$30.00‑$35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining, correcting deficiencies, and/or making repairs to all common areas within the Association.
- Oversee all facets of the daily operations of the building, ensuring compliance with HOA policies and regulations as required by code and regulatory enforcement agencies.
- Monitor and maintain optimum performance of all building systems, including mechanical, electrical/electronic, fire life safety, smoke control, security, HVAC, and water circulation systems.
- Coordinate and interact with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely maintenance and repairs, as well as adherence to quality standards.
- Plan and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of building systems.
- Collaborate with General Manager on modifications and improvements to building systems, including control software, to enhance efficiency and functionality.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of onsite high‑rise or mid‑rise building engineer experience, preferably in property management, hospitality, or commercial property management.
- Familiarity with the Uniform Commercial Building Code; HOA experience is a plus.
- HVAC Certification, EPA/608 License.
- Fire Pump Certificate (preferred), Fire Life Safety Director Certificate (preferred).
- Valid California Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
- Hands‑on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting experience.
- Experience in fire system management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player attitude.
- Availability by cell phone 24/7 for emergencies.
Certifications/Licenses Required
