What You'll Do
- Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, following site‑specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and to observe for unusual circumstances.
- Communicate and interact with individuals at the location, including employees and visitors, to provide assistance and information as appropriate.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports related to incidents or irregularities encountered during shifts.
- Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry as authorized.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal supervisors and team members to address any security‑related concerns that arise during the shift.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
- Must have one or more of the following: one or more years of law enforcement experience, two or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or three or more years of security‑related experience.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
