Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Business Analyst to support workflow optimization, product backlog management, and cross-functional operations for a music licensing product and technology team. This role focuses on understanding user needs, refining processes, and building scalable systems that enable smoother data flow and more effective project execution. The ideal candidate is early in their career, eager to learn, and comfortable bringing fresh ideas to a fast-moving environment. Success requires strong communication skills, solid problem-solving abilities, and hands‑on experience building and optimizing workflows using tools such as Monday.com, Asana, and Jira.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user requirements to support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Develop detailed documentation outlining user needs, program functions, and modification steps for system improvements.
  • Manage product backlog, customer tickets, and reporting dashboards.
  • Optimize and build scalable workflows in Monday.com to streamline team operations.
  • Partner with PMs and TPMs to forecast needs, define requirements, and measure outcomes.
  • Support the creation and setup of a new wiki platform to assist with knowledge sharing.
  • Work independently and collaboratively across technical and product teams to drive improvements.
  • Utilize relational database and client‑server concepts as needed for decision‑making.
  • Contribute creative, practical solutions while maintaining strong judgment and attention to detail.

Typical Day in the Role

  • A blend of independent workflow creation and cross‑functional collaboration across product, engineering, and operational teams.
  • Managing backlog items, triaging customer tickets, and building/adjusting dashboards.
  • Attending team meetings to discuss requirements, gather feedback, and align on project priorities.
  • Developing and refining Monday.com workflows and documenting processes through a wiki or similar tools.
  • Standard full‑time schedule; work may shift based on project needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in business analysis and workflow creation/optimization.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a proven ability to communicate issues and solutions clearly.
  • Understanding of core project management concepts, including how to take a project from initiation through completion.
  • Experience with Asana, Jira, and Monday.com.
  • Nice to have: Confluence and general wiki platform experience.
  • Ability to earn trust, act with urgency, and simplify complex workflows.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in startup or fast‑moving environments.
  • Ability to take feedback, iterate quickly, and contribute new ideas.
  • Familiarity with optimizing processes across multiple data systems.
