Full Stack AI Engineer

San Francisco | Full-time | Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)

$200,000 — $265,000 + equity

We're hiring a Fullstack AI Engineer for a rapidly growing AI healthtech startup that recently closed a $30M Series A. Their AI-powered tools are already used daily by 10,000+ clinicians, tackling core challenges in medical documentation and workflow. The company surpassed $10M ARR in its first year and is now expanding the engineering team to drive the next phase of product innovation and scale.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the development of product features across the full stack (React, TypeScript, NodeJS, Azure, SQL)
• Working hands-on with state-of-the-art AI models (language and speech), including training, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and inference optimization
• Collaborating closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product managers
• Designing and running experiments to test new features and drive product improvements

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strength on the backend and experience working on AI-powered products
• Strong coding skills (primarily backend)
• Experience applying modern AI/ML tools, especially around LLMs or speech models
• Comfortable in a high-ownership, fast-moving startup environment
• Mission-driven mindset and genuine interest in healthcare impact
