Guest Experience Coordinator

The Guest Experience Coordinator is a hospitality position that provides on-the-ground customer service and logistical support to our conference guests. The Guest Experience team works to create a welcoming and professional space for all attendees. Coordinators work closely with coworkers across all departments, fostering positive working relationships.

  • Part-time position averaging 20 hours per week.
  • Requires regular weekend work.
  • Schedule may vary based on programming and business needs.
  • Position based at the Golden Gate campus in the Marin Headlands; not remote.

Customer Service

  • Create a welcoming and safe environment for diverse guests.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for guests during their visit.
  • Respond to the needs of guests, troubleshoot problems, and assist in urgent situations.
  • Welcome guests to campus and conduct orientation talks with groups of up to 120 people.
  • Communicate with conference program organizers before and after programming.

Logistical Support

  • Set up, break down, and clean event spaces.
  • Stock inventory and maintain conference supplies in meeting rooms and storage spaces.
  • Provide basic tech support, including projectors and internet, for guests.

Teamwork

  • Identify, prioritize, and complete projects independently while managing time and initiative.
  • Assist Conference Operations Managers, Coordinator team, and Facilities team with daily duties and projects.
  • Provide occasional support for environmental science education programs, as assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Food Service

  • Act as a host during meal service hours and attend to guest questions and requests.
  • Support kitchen staff with set‑up, service, and clean‑up for all Guest Experience dining hall meals.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $20 per hour.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees averaging 20 hours per week.
  • Option to participate in a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match after 6 months.
  • All employees accrue paid sick leave.

Qualifications

  • Six months to one year experience in a customer service related field and/or training.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-supervise.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Flexibility to work various hours throughout each week, including weekdays, weekends, early and late shifts.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required; if not held, certifications will be provided within the first three months.
  • Successful completion of ServSafe Food Handlers course within the first 30 days of employment; course paid by NatureBridge.
  • Prioritize daily tasks and guest requests through organization and time management.
  • Proficiency with or willingness to learn Google Suite.
