Description:

Project Open Hand's mission is to improve health outcomes and quality of life by providing nutritious meals to the sick and vulnerable, caring for and educating our community. As an essential services provider and public health partner, POH will continue to be open during this medical crisis and serve the community.

We are looking for volunteers to help sort and pack food at our 730 Polk St. Grocery Center in San Francisco. Volunteer assists with sorting bulk items into individual portions, sorting fresh produce, and assembling pre-packed bags.

  • Minimum Age Requirement: 15 years old
  • Food Safety: Thoroughly wash and sanitize hands, wear protective gear (hairnet, beard guard, and gloves) and follow instructions given by staff, whose main goals are the quality of the meals and safety of clients, volunteers and staff alike.

2 shifts available:

  • 09:00 to 12:00 PST
  • 12:30 to 3:30 PST
