Job Title: Java Developer (Full Stack)

Work Location: Pleasanton, CA (HYBRID role; onsite 4 days per week)

Work Schedule/Hours: Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week (standard business hours)

Compensation: $40 to $45 per hour

Position Summary:

A leading global consulting firm is seeking an experienced Java Developer to support the design, development, and modernization of enterprise-level applications for a major client in Pleasanton, CA. The ideal candidate has a strong background in building secure, scalable, and maintainable applications across both backend and frontend technology stacks. This is a hands‑on role that involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams, participation in client‑facing workstreams, and adherence to high engineering standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based applications with a focus on high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with engagement leadership, project team members, and cross‑functional stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Lead or support workstreams focused on system improvements, workflow optimization, and solution transformation.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and reusable code following engineering best practices including continuous integration, test automation, refactoring, and secure development standards.
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to team‑wide engineering best practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements as appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with engagement managers and elevate risks or blockers as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 4+ years of experience as a Java (Full Stack) Developer.
• Proven ability to build scalable, secure, maintainable code using modern software development practices.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and cross‑team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in consulting or client‑facing project environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and test automation frameworks.
