Project Accountant - Construction (Hybrid)

Description:


We're looking for a Project Accountant to support the project team by coordinating all cost control activities, project accounting and administrative duties.

Hybrid: Preferably 2-3 days a week in the office (either in San Francisco or their office in the South Bay, as desired), remaining days work from home.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Independent handling of day-to-day project accounting and administrative work
  • Ability to analyze raw data and produce reports with only outline objectives provided
  • Assist in setting up project, chart of accounts, numbering system, etc.
  • Billing, enter sub and non-sub invoices, collect payments
  • Cost control, labor loading, review of cost reports
  • Month-end reports
  • Job cost transfer journal entry preparation
  • Payroll processing, attendance and accident reporting
  • Prepare special reports, studies, accounting breakdowns, etc.
  • Compose and or edit letters, memos, reports, and procedures related to project accounting functions
  • Act as liaison between internal and external parties.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, enterprise software
  • Ability to learn new custom programs and systems quickly

WORK HOURS

Standard office hours.

COMPENSATION

$110,000 to $160,000 annually, DOE.
