Job Description

This role can be based in our San Francisco or Mountain View offices. The work location is hybrid, performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days. You will be part of the GTM Horizontals Strategic Finance team, driving financial insights for the Marketing organization, strengthening how we plan, track, and communicate Marketing's financial contribution to LinkedIn's performance, and helping allocate capital across different marketing avenues.

Partner closely with Senior Marketing leadership and cross‑functional teams to drive resource planning and investment decisions, evaluate trade‑offs, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness across spend and headcount. You will work with Marketing and Finance leadership to facilitate data‑driven decisions by providing accurate performance narratives, analysis, and insights from LinkedIn's marketing and finance data. You will also drive continuous improvement of our operations and change management to sub‑par processes.

Responsibilities

Strategic Thinking
  • Identifies new opportunities for growth within scope of responsibility and adjacent areas and drives strategy development with business partners.
  • Ensures pressure testing of growth opportunities.
  • Supports team members in operationalizing ideas and drives the development of plans for execution.
  • Leads collaborative relationships with other teams, leverages input and feedback to develop ideas and see opportunities for growth.
Stakeholder Influence
  • Communicates implications of work (forecasts, analyses, trends) and necessary context to senior management and key stakeholders to drive action.
  • Leverages insights, data, and internal/external trends to develop narratives to influence stakeholders across all levels of the business.
  • Drives alignment by synthesizing problems and communicating point of view to support decision‑making on strategic issues.
Execution & Organization
  • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders and provides guidance to support the growth of initiatives with a metrics‑oriented perspective.
  • Provides guidance and expertise to stakeholders by answering a wide variety of complex questions.
  • Identifies opportunities and develops large workstreams, projects, or operational processes.
  • Anticipates obstacles and leverages expertise to recommend and drive implementation of solutions.
Performance Management
  • Oversees team(s) responsible for supporting performance management by creating, maintaining, and updating models and forecasts.
  • Reviews forecasts, analyzes risks and opportunities, and anticipates effects of internal/external metrics trends and behavior in meeting targets.
  • Oversees the development of hypotheses using identified signals, trends, and risks.
  • Ensures resources are available for team members to access data they need to execute ad‑hoc analyses to prove/disprove hypotheses and address business questions.
  • Supports partnerships with cross‑functional teams to design experiments to close deviations from targets.
Culture & Values
  • Leads a work team in alignment with the culture and values of the organization, including people development and diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Coaches team members and provides actionable, concrete project‑oriented feedback (after a meeting, end‑of‑project review) to colleagues and/or partners.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 8 years of experience in finance, finance accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in the technology industry.

Pay Range

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $149,000 to $242,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans. For more information, visit
