Product Engineer - AuthKit
WorkOS builds tools and services that help developers implement authentication, identity, authorization, and overall enterprise readiness. Our customers include fast‑growing SaaS companies such as OpenAI, Cursor, Perplexity, Vercel, and Plaid.
About the Role
The AuthKit team builds AuthKit, a set of UI components and APIs enabling B2B developers to solve identity and authentication. Your focus will be on delivering the best developer and end‑user experiences, gathering feedback, and iterating quickly.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer delightful developer and end‑user experiences
- Develop a deep understanding of AuthKit's market position and drive its adoption
- Build a highly available and secure product that earns developer trust
- Engage regularly with customers to gather feedback, debug issues, and remove friction
- Collaborate with product, solutions engineering, and go‑to‑market teams
- Work directly with leadership on greenfield ideas
- Help recruit and assess future engineering team members
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience thriving on small teams in fast‑paced environments
- Background building polished UI/UX and end‑to‑end API services
- Intellectually curious, independently driven, and passionate about great products
- Growth mindset, high emotional intelligence, and strong communication skills
- Bonus: Experience with TypeScript, React, and Postgres
- Bonus: Experience in B2B SaaS or developer tools
Compensation
Annual US base salary: $175,000 – $250,000 (range reflects multiple engineering levels). Additional compensation includes equity, health insurance, vacation, and paid parental leave. Compensation for candidates outside the US is adjusted based on local market benchmarks.
