We are seeking a dynamic Application Engineer with a commercial mindset to support our sales growth in the US by combining deep robotics expertise with strong customer‑facing skills. Reporting to the US Sales Director, this role serves as the technical bridge between our cutting‑edge robotic technology, channel partners, and prospective customers—translating complex technical capabilities into compelling business value propositions.
The ideal candidate will lead technical activities in coordination with the sales team, conduct product demonstrations, and collaborate with channel partners and customers to define and facilitate robotic automation solutions.
Support the Technical Sales Cycle: Guide channel partners and customers from initial discovery to deal closure by conducting product demonstrations, assessing technical needs, and serving as the primary technical advisor.
Define Solutions: Collaborate with channel partners and customers to develop automation solutions, including technical proposals, system specifications, and ROI analyses to prove business value.
Serve as an Internal Technical Liaison: Act as the bridge between customers and internal teams, ensuring proposed solutions are feasible and providing market feedback to influence the product roadmap.
Build & Maintain Key Relationships: Develop long‑term relationships with key technical stakeholders and decision‑makers within partner and customer organizations.
Drive Technical Evangelism: Represent T‑Robotics as a technical expert at trade shows and industry events, and support marketing through content such as case studies and application notes.
Ensure Customer Success & Growth: Oversee the complete technical project development phase and conduct post‑sales follow‑up to ensure satisfaction and identify expansion opportunities.
Technical Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
Customer‑Facing Experience: 3–5 years in technical sales, applications engineering, or similar customer‑facing roles within industrial automation or robotics.
Exceptional Communicator: Ability to clearly explain complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Comfortable walking a factory floor, identifying bottlenecks, and providing written and verbal automation consultations.
Personal Drive: Proactive, self‑starting mentality with excellent problem‑solving skills and the resilience to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment.
Experience in machine tools and automated machine tending
Industry certifications in robotics, automation, or sales
Experience in vertical markets such as automotive, food & beverage, or logistics
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Industry 4.0 concepts
Multilingual capabilities for international markets
Experience with channel partner management
Extensive travel required (customer sites, trade shows, and training)
Ability to work in industrial environments during customer visits and demos
Flexible schedule to accommodate customer meetings and international time zones
In‑office presence required in Fremont, CA when not traveling (collaborating closely with sales and operations)
