We are Farmacy Berkeley and we are seeking an experienced Inventory Specialist to support our store. Across the entire family of stores, we believe in the power of sustainably produced cannabis products for recreation, self-care, and social connection. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for supporting store operations, providing analysis and recommendations for efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory policies.

Core Responsibilities

• Drive store profitability by guiding team members in delivering a positive customer experience.
• Prioritize and communicate department issues to Inventory & Compliance.
• Ensure vendor/distributor deliveries and payments are optimized.
• Partner with store leadership to set hourly and daily goals.
• Support floor coverage, breaks, lunches, and meal break policy.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes and complete shipment turnaround.
• Maintain clean and organized backstock areas.
• Ensure compliance with DCC, State, and City regulations.
• Generate inventory reports and support the update of menus, images, and naming conventions.

Operations

• Perform store-level operational procedures accurately and timely.
• Train team in loss prevention awareness and adherence to practices.
• Capitalize on compliance with emergency and safety procedures.
• Support all operational tasks regarding menus, images, and other resources.
• Attend all scheduled trainings and maintain punctuality.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

• Lead with strong written and verbal communication.
• Delegate projects and follow up consistently.
• Communicate store and company directives clearly to the team.
• Participate in daily department and store meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum one year of inventory experience.
• Previous retail experience.
• Experience in highly regulated businesses.
• Strong judgment, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Ability to achieve statistical results (sales, inventory accuracy, shrinkage).
• Previous cannabis industry experience.
• Must be 21+ and pass a federal background check.

Work Environment

• Professional cannabis store setting.
• Requires use of standard office and store equipment.
• Regular hours include evenings, nights, weekends.

Physical Demands

• Must talk, walk, use hands, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Position Type and Hours

• Non-exempt, part‑time or full‑time; may include early mornings, late nights, weekends.
