Construction Project Manager - Heavy Civil

American Civil Constructors West Coast, established in 1987, is a Heavy Civil Construction company qualified to bid and perform work for State DOTs and City & County Public Works agencies across the United States. We are hiring a full-time Project Manager to work out of our Benicia, CA office. We offer relocation assistance for this position!

Location & Travel Details: This location-based position encompasses worksites throughout the United States and requires an average of 25% travel. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided. When overnight travel is required, meals and lodging will also be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling; Tracking production and inventory
  • Handling subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Coordinating & supervising varying work schedules (day/night) and crew mobilizations between jobs
  • Working closely with project owners, prime contractors, inspectors, field engineers, field superintendents and subcontractors/suppliers as needed to successfully complete projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management; other majors considered on a case-by-case basis
  • 5+ years of construction-related experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
  • Ability to multi-task in a challenging construction environment
  • Excellent computer skills including strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Willingness to learn; good organizational and time management skills; ability to work as a team; strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Primavera P6 is highly desired
  • Valid driver's license required
