Customer Service Specialist – Will Train

Location: Petaluma, CA

Salary: $18.56 – $27.84 per hour (full‑time, permanent)

Overview

As a Customer Service Specialist with Orkin, you will be the first line of support for our customers. Your service mindset, empathy, and commitment to accuracy will help us maintain the industry‑leading reputation for top‑notch pest management.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to schedule, confirm, and follow up on service appointments.
  • Navigate a Windows‑based and Web‑based system to track routes and optimize current and future schedules.
  • Schedule technicians to efficiently minimize drive time and recommend alternative routes when appropriate.
  • Use listening skills and probing questions to identify the customer's concern and evaluate their needs.
  • Monitor, update and maintain the customer database with accurate information including call details, disposition, payments, and other results.
  • Reschedule unserviced accounts within 24 hours.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes, programs and initiatives.
  • Safeguard customer privacy and proprietary information.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Customer Service or Sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable sitting at a desk and working with a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
