Leasing Associate role focused on leasing assigned assets in the Northwest U.S. markets (NorCal, OR, WA) and based in Walnut Creek, CA. The role contributes to the success of assigned properties through predominantly small shop leasing initiatives and requires a strong understanding of sales, personable skills, and the ability to travel often to assigned markets. This position reports to the Vice President of Leasing for the Western U.S.
Base pay range
$65,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
- Canvas competing retail shopping centers and comparable centers in assigned markets on a regular basis.
- Cold call operating retail business owners on a regular basis.
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen collaborative relationships within the tenant and brokerage community.
- Develop and maintain relationships with in-market city-level business development officials.
- Maintain reporting requirements for internal and external needs.
- Be a good team player and frequently collaborate with team members.
- Work closely with the internal marketing department and be responsible for maintaining all marketing materials for assigned assets.
- Provide routine market-related updates such as SWOT analysis, VOID analysis, and general market rent comparable reports.
- Frequent travel (overnight) into Northern CA, Oregon, Washington and as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 3-5 years of related experience.
- Well-developed interpersonal and negotiating skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
- Understanding of industry resources: LoopNet, CREXi, and other relevant industry tech.
- Strong desire for sales with experience in B2B sales and cold calling.
- Strong industry social connections.
