Position Summary The
Digital Marketing & Analytics Manager elevates SFBU's online presence and drives measurable outcomes across the university's digital ecosystem-including web, social media, email, and CRM-integrated campaigns.
Reporting to the
Director of Communications & Marketing, this role manages day-to-day digital operations within a hybrid in-house + external-partner model. The Manager serves as both strategist and practitioner-building data-driven campaigns, optimizing user journeys, and transforming analytics into actionable insights that enhance brand visibility, engagement, and conversion.
Key ResponsibilitiesWebsite, SEO & User Experience - Maintain and continually improve SFBU's public website, ensuring accuracy, accessibility (WCAG compliance), and brand consistency.
- Partner with IT, engineering, and agencies on site enhancements, releases, technical SEO, and UX sprints.
- Optimize conversion paths (landing pages, forms, campaigns) and lead-capture flows.
- Monitor site performance and recommend improvements based on analytics and usability testing.
Social Media & Content Marketing - Lead the social strategy and content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X.
- Create and curate accessible, brand-consistent content that strengthens SFBU's storytelling.
- Supervise student assistants or interns supporting social media content creation.
- Plan, manage, and report on paid social and post boosting in coordination with Communications and Enrollment teams.
CRM, Email & Audience Journeys - Integrate web forms and campaign tracking with Salesforce (Pardot, Marketing Cloud, or comparable platforms).
- Develop and segment audience lists, automate email journeys, and maintain data integrity in collaboration with Admissions and IT.
- Support lifecycle communications to engage prospects, students, and alumni through personalized, data-driven outreach.
Analytics & Performance Measurement - Own and manage dashboards across GA4, social platforms, and CRM to monitor KPIs for reach, engagement, and conversion.
- Synthesize insights into clear recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Lead testing programs (A/B and multivariate) to refine messaging, creative, and user experience.
- Present digital performance reports and strategic insights to leadership on a recurring basis.
Governance & Collaboration - Uphold SFBU's brand and editorial standards across all digital platforms.
- Align digital campaigns with the university's editorial calendar and strategic messaging framework.
- Coordinate with external digital, SEO, and media partners for audits, campaigns, and performance lifts.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-Enrollment, Academics, Advancement, and Student Affairs-to ensure message consistency and campaign alignment.

Qualifications & ExperienceRequired - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in digital marketing, analytics, or campaign management.
- Proficiency with CMS platforms (Modern Campus, WordPress, Drupal), GA4, and SEO tools.
- Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards.
- Experience with Salesforce and marketing automation tools (Pardot, Marketing Cloud, Slate, Element451, Anthology, or similar).
- Familiarity with social-media management platforms (Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and native analytics.
- Strong writing, collaboration, and project-management skills; high data fluency and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred - Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations.
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, Data Studio, and marketing attribution methods.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or UX/UI principles.
- Experience collaborating with or managing agency partners
Work Environment & Physical Demands - Primarily office-based with hybrid flexibility.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support campaigns or events.
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 20 lbs and extended periods of computer use.
